My plate has been pretty full at work in that it is definitely "crunch time" with only 10 months to go. It seems like a long time but the level of the interior finishes, i.e. tile, stone, woodwork, etc. are such that they will take a while to put in. In order for these componenets to all be successfully installed, all material must be here, all interacting trades must be coordinated, all materials must be approved by multiple parties, and the installation must be scheduled & sequenced. The design of many components has not been completed to the levels required by instrallation time so this generates conflicts, questions, and coordination issues that are daily problems. This is where I come in, handling these challenges, along with my co-pilot and counterpart here on the site, my friend Juan Villalobos. Juan and I have gotten to know each other pretty well since we have been sitting 8 feet from each other for the past two years. Juan handles 1/2 of the trades on the job and I handle the other.
Here is a shot Juan snapped of me contemplating something or other at my desk in our "hole" a.k.a the jobsite office:
Also here is another good shot , I cant recall if I put this on the blog before.......Chris, Lily & I at the "Topping Out" ceremony last year.
