Tomorrow.......Need I say more?

15 hours and counting down. I've boiled the pacifiers and the bags are packed. Christina is going through the ultimate "Nesting" culmination of preparation. I'm not sure if either of us are going to sleep tonight. Thoughts of my work, dominating my mind only a few hours ago, are for the most part the last things on my mind. Somewhere in the rear of my brain is the knowledge that I have to surafce and head into the office most likely Tuesday or things could come undone in my little world of projects. But the next few days and especially tomorrow are primarilty what I'm thinking about.

The boy and what he'll look like like, his health, his demeanor, Chris' well being, these are the thoughts repaeating and racing in my mind.

Happy Easter!! & Only 4 more days........

.........until our son is delivered forth from within the only home he has known for 269 days. I'm sure the uterus is terrific but he has lots of neat toys, stuffed animals, cool clothes, soft blankets, any noisy buzzy chairs awaiting him here at home. Everyday that we get closer is more exciting but it is interesting that we are also aware that these are the final days of just "John & Christina" as a couple until many moons from now (approx. 18 to 24 years I'm guessing, depending on the final head count of children). Although we'll miss the spontaneity of the "salad years", we look forward to the new dynamic of having a child in the home with us, and then eventually more.

I will be posting pictures of Jack as soon as I can so all of his fans can get their fix. Thanks to Mom, Jim, and Aunt Julie for checking up on Christina and I this week.

Words to ponder today: Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him at His feet and worshipped Him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid, Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me." - Matthew 28, NKJV.

Here's the little guy in the womb

4-D Imaging is awesome. There's nothing like seeing your child for the first time, even while he is still inside mommy. Ultrasound has been around for thirty + years but this really takes it to a new level. We have really enjoyed both the pictures and DVD video footage we got out of the 4-D ulatrasound session. Now we only have 5 days until we see him in the flesh!! I hope he's looking as forward to locking eyes with his Old Man as I am!

Beautiful, right? And it's a nice picture too

Christina and I will hopefully be posting a lot more pictures as my familiarity with the blog format grows. Here's one of my favorites in the Irish countryside near Castletownbere.
